Course Details

BSc in Computational Science and Biomedical Science

Course Description

Computational Science is an interdisciplinary field which uses skills from mathematics and information technology to tackle real-world scientific problems which can only be solved through computation. Biomedical Science is a highly funded field which receives approximately half the total research dollars available to all of science, both nationally and internationally. The ability to process large amounts of data and create accurate models is essential to understanding the mechanisms of human health and disease. In this dual major, you will learn to construct realistic mathematical models and simulations, perform quantitative analysis of scientific problems using computers, and develop skills to solve real challenges in the biomedical sciences.
