Course Details

BSc in Computational Science and Statistics

Course Description

Computational Science is an interdisciplinary field which uses skills from mathematics and information technology to tackle real-world scientific problems which can only be solved through computation. Statistics provides the mathematical language and techniques necessary for understanding and dealing with chance and uncertainty in nature. It involves the design, collection, analysis and interpretation of numerical data, with the aim of extracting patterns and other useful information In this dual major, you will learn to construct realistic mathematical models and simulations, perform quantitative analysis of scientific problems using computers, and develop skills to solve real challenges in statistics.
