The honours program involves intensive thesis work, usually with a research component. Links to industry in thesis work are encouraged. A student must take #16 from the Bachelor of Information Technology(Honours) course list. Graduates will have in-depth knowledge and be prepared for leadership in the information technology profession. Graduates will be prepared for practice in a world of accelerating change and also have a thorough understanding with depth and accuracy of the impact of information technology within an organisation, with society at large, and a detailed appreciation of the impact of information technology on the global scale. In addition, graduates will display effective communication skills, independence and creativity, critical judgment and ethical and social understanding. Honours: Honours is awarded based on the weighted percentage over the year of study.
