Course Description

The Master of Information Technology is suitable for graduates with a background in Science or Engineering who wish to acquire a solid knowledge of computing and information technology over 2 years. It is also suitable for graduates from a Computing or Information Technology degree who wish to broaden, deepen or update their knowledge; such students may qualify for sufficient advanced standing that they can complete the program in 1 year full-time Information technology provides students with the skills to use today’s technology as well as to create the technology of tomorrow. Graduates are trained to anticipate future requirements and develop applications, frameworks, products and services to meet those needs in areas such as networking, data mining, robotics and internet services. The Master of Information Technology povides students with a broad IT education and specialised knowledge that enables them to work in a range of positions. It is suitable for students with minimal prior computing experience, or students with a computing-related bachelor degree who want to gain a broader understanding or specialise in an area.
