Course Description

This program combines the professional Law degree with Bachelor of Medicinal Chemistry. This dual degree challenges those with curious minds who want to engage in or support cutting edge scientific research and developments. Medicinal Chemistry is an exciting, rapidly-expanding area within the broad discipline of Chemistry that has seen enormous growth recently both within Australia and globally. It includes the development of new pharmaceutical agents, from concept to clinic. Students use state-of-the-art technology and build extensive knowledge in scientific fields focusing on Medicinal Chemistry. Combining this with a Bachelor of Laws equips students with an understanding of the law, important in this industry. Through the law component, students gain the skills required to deal with complex legal issues stemming from new industries, innovations and new social expectations as part of a progressive Law degree that is very attractive to future employers.
