This dual degree challenges you to understand Australian and international legal systems, the social impact of crime and society’s response to criminal behaviour. You’ll study a comprehensive Law degree with a range of opportunities to gain practical experience in criminal law. You can undertake an internship at a local court or work on a real case at the Law School’s in-house legal centre. Career opportunities exist with criminal justice agencies such as the Attorney-General’s Department, Police, Prisons, Customs, ASIO, Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts, Australian Bureau of Statistics, and practising as a criminal barrister.
