If you have the ability but not the qualifications required to apply for our three-year BA Hons Business with Finance programme, this four-year programme will provide you with another route. If you're interested in business finance but accountancy isn't for you, try this challenging and rewarding business management degree with an emphasis on the financial discipline. Course structure This degree begins with a foundation year that will give you a solid grounding from which to progress to degree-level study. You will gain a thorough introduction to business and an understanding of ethics, enterprise and leadership. After your first year, you will study the same courses as on our three-year BA Hons Business with Finance programme. You will move on to a solid grounding in the strategic aspects of business and management as well as specialist training in finance. The aims of the programme are: To develop your knowledge of the broad areas of business and management with particular emphasis on the finance discipline To allow you to develop a command of subject-specific skills, including application of knowledge and proficiency in intellectual skills To equip you to deal with uncertainty and complexity, to explore alternative solutions and to integrate theory and practice in a range of situations. In addition: Applicants would normally be a minimum of 17 years of age, but entry at a younger age is a possibility for the highest quality applicants Applicants who have significant work experience relevant to their preferred study path but who do not have the minimum expected formal entry qualifications are welcome to apply by citing their relevant work experience to demonstrate their potential capability.
