This Masters programme is about developing inter-professional teamwork and collaboration between professionals in order to create a richer learning experience in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The PgDip in Inter-Professional Science, Education & Communication allows current and aspiring educators and science communicators to learn about the different contexts in which science communication and education take place. In doing so, you will acquire the communication techniques to enable you to contribute effectively and confidently to science communication and education. We have an excellent working relationship with colleagues at the Glasgow Science Centre, the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Ambassadors at Science Connects, as well as our science colleagues at the University. You will attend workshops organised in collaboration with other local universities at the Glasgow Science Centre, featuring journalists and editors who specialise in science reporting. The programme profits from an association with one of the research groups in the School of Education: Interdisciplinary Science Education, Technologies & Learning. We offer strong input on topics including philosophy of science, science education and practical science communication. Learning and outcomes from this group are fed back into the programme content.
