They may administer life-saving drugs and use high-tech equipment, they also have to gather information and form working diagnoses for a wide variety of patients who may have complex health needs. Consequently paramedics need to be highly inquisitive, diplomatic and person-centred individuals with an eye for detail and a thirst for knowledge.
