LLB Law with European Legal Systems

Course Description

The LLB in Law with European Legal Systems offers an exciting opportunity to combine a qualifying law degree with a year studying at another European law faculty. This four-year degree is recognised by the Law Society and Bar Council, covering all the English law requirements necessary to go on to practice law in England and Wales. In addition, it can be tailored to students’ interests, including those who wish to develop their French and Spanish. Your third year will be spent abroad at a European university. As well as being academically rigorous, the course trains you in the skills you will need as a lawyer, plus general transferable skills. These skills are developed throughout the degree programme via modules incorporating teaching methods such as small group exercises and class presentations. You will also have the opportunity to hone your skills further through the exciting range of extra-curricular activities offered within the Law School. You do not need to have a foreign language to benefit from the year abroad as we have links with a wide range of law faculties across Europe which offer law modules taught in English. These modules will allow you to develop your understanding of European and International Law. Find out more about the experience of one of our students on this programme.
