The Law School welcomes students who wish to pursue research degrees in law, and is able to provide supervision in a wide range of subjects. There is an active research community, and at any one time there are approximately 80 students from many parts of the world registered for a PhD or Masters Degree by research. Full time PhD students are provided with an office, a computer and access to the internet and printing facilities. Part time and Masters by Research students are given access to dedicated hot desk space.

Our research students have been very successful in obtaining employment. Many have gone on to posts in the academic world, but some have moved on to jobs influencing policy in government agencies, or have secured high level posts in the public sector. Our Law alumni include judges, members of the Houses of Parliament and successful entrepreneurs.
