This programme provides graduate engineers, geologists, and other scientists with specialist knowledge and understanding of the geology, performance and management of hydrocarbon reservoirs. The courses which make up this programme cover the fundamental science and technology of reservoir engineering, reservoir modelling and flow simulation, petrophysics, formation evaluation, and petroleum economics.

A current identified skills shortage in the industry will ensure that there are a number of career opportunities for qualified, skilled Reservoir Engineers. Students on the programme are given several opportunities to engage directly with industry. This level of exposure gives students an excellent opportunity to build a network of industry contacts who may be able to advise on potential career opportunities in the future.
