MSc Petroleum Engineering is the latest addition to our world class suite of engineering programmes; bringing students closer to the energy industry. The programme is designed with industry support and aims to produce world class Petroleum Engineering professionals that are fully prepared to take up essential roles in the upstream oil and gas industry. Drawing upon a long established track record of excellence in teaching and research, the programme will be jointly delivered by the School of Engineering and School of Geosciences, as well as key informed contribution from industry based lecturers and tutors.

Within the global oil and gas industry, there is high demand for suitably qualified petroleum engineers. As an integral part of the exploration and production process, this demand is likely to continue, and indeed increase, as the global need for oil and gas continues to grow. Engineering programmes at the University are designed in close collaboration with industry. We are able to tailor our programmes to ensure they are relevant and will offer our students the best possible chance of securing a successful career.
