This programme is aimed at those students who do not wish to select a specialist LLM but who wish to study law at an advanced level. Students are given the opportunity to select a range of course modules from across the LLM specialist degrees. General Law enables you to study many disciplines that span the subject. You have the freedom to create a bespoke programme, tailored by you to meet your academic needs. It is designed to give you maximum flexibility in your choice of modules and dissertation topic. The programme has been structured so that you will gain an advanced and specialised education in law while having the freedom to make your own subject choices that align with your career aspirations. Our programme will help you develop your critical analysis and independent research skills that are vital to the demanding needs of the legal profession. Featuring carefully chosen course options, you will have the opportunity to study topics such as Oil and Minerals for Good, International Law, The Politics of Human Rights and Criminal Evidence & proof. For example, you could combine an understanding of corporate and commercial law with an understanding of environmental law, or combine an understanding of international law with international criminal justice.
