Course Description

This is Ireland's only BA in Digital Humanities and Information Technology. Graduates of this innovative programme will be uniquely balanced across two areas – information technology, and the arts and humanities – having studied modules in computer science, digital humanities and an arts subject. You will develop practical skills to flourish in the digital age and explore the impact of digital technology on culture, power and identity in society. You will seek to discover what is it to be human in the digital age, and the answers will help to shape how we see ourselves and others as humanity becomes more connected by technology. You will be introduced to a dynamic and developing field. The BA in Digital Humanities and Information Technology will lay the foundations for employment in a range of areas or for further research, using digital tools to address the creative questions of the arts and humanities. Duration: 3yrs or 4yrs with placement option
