The MSc (by module) is designed to provide a flexible route to a master’s qualification for students who have completed a bachelor’s degree. The degree spans a range of disciplines. Each student assembles a coherent group of modules focusing on a particular theme with the guidance and approval of a study committee. This facilitates a multidisciplinary approach to their studies and in particular their research project. The MSc (by module) has a broader appeal to EU and non-EU students who wish to do a taught master’s degree in areas other than those specialized masters programmes currently offered. The structure will appeal to students who wish to do a general degree and also to those who arrive with a particular area of interest that requires a more flexible and multidisciplinary approach.
