The University of Leicester International Study Centre (ISC) launched in partnership with Study Group in 2008, and within four years has welcomed over 600 students from 34 different countries.Since the launch of an International Study Centre on the University of Leicester’s city centre campus in the heart of England, the University has enjoyed a record number of international students. Study Group’s global reach has enabled the university to recruit from a wider geographic range, promoting real diversity. The ISC, run by Study Group, delivers outstanding Foundation programmes providing international students with the academic knowledge, study support and pastoral care that helps each student to make the best of the many opportunities on offer within the university.At the University of Leicester, the ISC offers a choice of four key subject areas: Economics and Management; Society and Culture; Engineering; and Technology and Science. Link tutors from the various academic departments at the University assist students with their choice and understanding of their chosen subject, assuring smooth progression into the first year of their degree course following completion of their International Foundation Year.
