This programme is designed for students who wish to work in public relations or communications-related industries. One third of the programme will be devoted to communication modules, whilst two thirds will be general business modules. In year 2, students will work in small group workshops to learn how to produce podcasts and video for the web. Students will undertake a company project that can be completed in 100 hours. The onus will be on the students to find a placement project following the advice from the module lecturer. Students will be assessed on their learning upon completion of the placement project module in Year 3. Students are expected to have access to a simple video-capable camera for recording material which can then be edited (using their own laptop software). Students will receive both rigorous academic training and practical business practice. Graduates with such knowledge and skill in business management will be in strong demand from prospective employers.
