Course Description

The practical applications of computer science span all disciplines from science to business and the creative and performing arts, making this minor a useful addition to study in these other fields. You'll broaden your repertoire with the technical skills to develop software solutions to problems in your area of interest. You will learn to design algorithms (instructions for computers) and data structures (information storage), and create efficient software that solves real-world problems. You will learn to think creatively and analytically, studying the theory of applying computers and software to problem solving, and gaining the practical skills to put this theory into practice. This minor will also add rigour and depth for Information Technology (IT) students.
