Course Description

Engineering is a dynamic industry, requiring skills not only in engineering, but also in organisational behaviour, communication, economics and quality control. This program will equip you with the necessary managerial skills needed to run complex projects smoothly, a quality highly valued by employers. You will graduate with a solid foundation in engineering principles as well as all areas of Information Technology. Civil Engineering You will develop knowledge and skills in the planning, design, management, construction and maintenance of civil engineering projects; as well as the communication, research and critical analysis skills which are vital to a successful career as a professional engineer. In your final year, your skills will be enhanced through off-campus industry experience to prepare you for a smooth entry into the workforce. Overall, you will complete at least 60 days engineering professional practice. Information Technology Reflecting industry needs now and into the future, this program is designed to help you succeed in a variety of IT roles. It includes a practical teamwork project for external clients or you can undertake an off-campus course in industry giving you first-hand experience of the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to succeed. During your studies, you will work with fellow students to analyse, develop and implement an effective computer-based solution to a business problem.
