You will develop knowledge and skills in planning, designing and managing projects associated with environmental protection. You will develop an understanding of complex environmental problems and gain the engineering knowledge, competence and design skills needed to develop solutions to manage waste, water and wastewater, land rehabilitation, and air quality monitoring and control. In your final year, you will enhance your skills through industry experience.

You will find opportunities in government departments such as Transport and Main Roads, Natural Resources and Mines, and Environment and Resource Management, with consulting engineers in the mining, oil, smelting and manufacturing industries, as well as with research organisations.
