This program will equip you with the necessary managerial skills needed to run complex projects smoothly, a quality highly valued by employers. You will graduate with a solid foundation in engineering principles as well as all areas of Environmental Science. Civil Engineering You will develop knowledge and skills in the planning, design, management, construction and maintenance of civil engineering projects; as well as the communication, research and critical analysis skills which are vital to a successful career as a professional engineer. In your final year, your skills will be enhanced through off-campus industry experience to prepare you for a smooth entry into the workforce. Overall, you will complete at least 60 days engineering professional practice. Science Science is multi-disciplinary, requiring a broad-based knowledge of chemistry, biology, maths, earth sciences and statistics. You will gain vocational skills in environmental monitoring, assessment, and how to apply the ever-changing environmental regulations, opening up a wide range of career opportunities in government departments, consultancies, waste management, mining and resource industries.

Graduates from this program are able to work in government departments such as Transport and Main Roads, Natural Resources and Mines, the Environmental Protection Agency and with consulting engineers, in the mining, oil, smelting and manufacturing industries, as well as with research organisations. You will graduate with knowledge and skills in planning, design, construction, and management of projects associated with the Civil Engineering discipline.
