Course Description

This practical and creative degree is designed for those who are committed and passionate about theatre, drama and performance work. You will learn through lectures, seminars, workshops, and collaborative group work and engage in a range of drama projects. Industry professionals will teach you skills in devising theatre, acting and performance skills development, directing, staging major productions, understanding contemporary and historical theatre contexts, and developing applied theatre projects for the community. An industry placement opportunity in your final year will further cement your practical experience. You will perform in venues such as Metro Arts, the Judith Wright Centre and the Brisbane Powerhouse. Exchange opportunities to prestigious universities in the United Kingdom, Canada, Sweden and more are also available.
