You will develop the managerial skills needed to run complex projects smoothly and learn engineering principles as applied to elements of organisational behaviour, communication, economics, and quality control. In your final year, you will enhance your skills through industry experience and graduate with a solid understanding of engineering principles and business management. Environmental engineering has a strong interdisciplinary focus on formulating solutions to environmental problems and developing innovative strategies and technologies for a sustainable future. This program combines a set of core skills in engineering design in relation to the quality of land, water and air with core management skills such as accounting, financing, employment relations and government-business relations. The management skills acquired from the business component will complement the technical, environmental and social skills gained in the engineering component. Graduates will acquire the skills for designing, implementing and managing environmental engineering projects - that is, for whole-of-cycle sustainable environmental engineering project execution.
