Deakin’s Bachelor of Environmental Science (Marine Biology) enables students to experience learning about everything marine: from coral reefs to icebergs, estuaries to oceans, the surf zone to the deep abyss. This course provides students the opportunity to explore the diversity in aquatic systems and expand their knowledge of living and non-living components in marine and coastal ecosystems and catchments. Students will be able to develop and apply their understanding of environmental sustainability, and use scientific methods and tools to practice sustainable management of natural resources within marine and coastal environments, relevant to both Australia and overseas.
