Course Description

The MSc in Computer Games Technology at BU course aims to provide you with the ability to plan, implement and produce computer games using modern methods and tools. If you have a first degree in computer science or a similar technical degree, and want to get into gaming, then this is the course for you. The topics covered will provide you with an in-depth knowledge in a number of key areas of games technology and production. You will be working on advanced skills for different parts of the games development pipeline such as: games programming, level design, 3D modelling, animation and artificial intelligence. It offers a mix of practice-based research through the use of state of the art game production facilities and taught classes by academics and industry experts. What's more it consists of five taught units and an independent project, which can be a dissertation, a portfolio of work, a software application or another combination of suitable deliverables.
