Duration: 3 years with two short placements or 4 years with a 30 week placement. If you want to get into the fast-paced world of journalism, but don’t want to specialise in a particular field, then this is the course for you! It will give you all the skills you need to work in a multi-disciplinary media environment, including TV, radio, newspaper, magazine or online journalism. There's a strong focus on practical work, with many opportunities for you to get involved in writing copy, as well as producing radio and TV bulletins, all within state-of-the-art dedicated newsrooms and digitally equipped studios to replicate a professional working environment. This means that when you graduate, you’ll have a broad range of multimedia skills at your disposal, thus making you highly employable. The accreditation by the three main industry bodies - the BJTC, NCTJ and PTC - demonstrates the practical nature of this course, which has been developed in conjunction with the industry to ensure you have all the skills you'll need when you graduate.
