The Spanish Program in the Department of Modern Languages offers major and minor programs in Spanish, Teacher Certification in Spanish, and an MAT in Education with an emphasis on Spanish. A regular rotation of courses are offered on the WKU Main Campus in Bowling Green. Many students of Spanish also develop their proficiency by studying abroad. Spanish can be combined with almost any other major to help increase your career opportunities. Thirty-six semester hours are required in this major. Some of the required coursework may be accomplished through CLEP or AP credit. Study abroad is strongly recommended. A minor or second major is required. No course with a grade of “D” or below may be counted toward this major.
