This one-year full-time qualification prepares graduates with appropriate teaching subjects to become confident and competent secondary teachers. The programme of study is designed for those with an undergraduate degree or equivalent which includes two teaching subjects, one to 200-level and one to 300-level. These teaching subjects form the content basis for the two curriculum areas that are required in the qualification. Graduates with a degree in only one teaching subject may be permitted to enter the programme of study so long as their teaching subject is approved by the Dean as a high demand subject. The teaching subject must be the major (300-level) in the degree.
