The School Counseling focus prepares students to become elementary or secondary school counselors. Students become familiar with school counseling and guidance services and develop the competencies required of guidance and counseling specialists in the schools. This program meets Texas specifications for school counselor certification and the academic requirements to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
