The MEd is suitable for those with a working role in all sectors of teacher education and related agencies, and in any of the professions related to education. The course is designed to enable students to engage in academic debate.The course is particularly intended for: * those working in an educational role, * who hold a first degree, or equivalent, * who hold a teaching qualification or equivalent, * who seek to undertake further professional development through a Masters level award-bearing programme, grounded academically in the field of education. From a broad base, the MEd enables the development of study in specific areas of interest in education in its widest sense. The course is offered on a part-time or full-time basis on approximately two Saturdays per month, with some twilight sessions on (at present) Monday evenings. The minimum time for completion of the MEd, without accreditation of prior learning, is three years part-time or one year full-time. The course is not available on a distance learning basis.
