This course gives you hands-on experience of global policy research and prepares you for a career in the field. We'll give you training in research methods. And we encourage you to carry out fieldwork with international agencies as part of your dissertation project. We'll help you find a placement, which usually takes the form of a three-month internship. You'll develop a comprehensive understanding of global influences on national social policy and in-depth knowledge of the challenges – in poverty, health, social protection, corporations, crime, education and migration.

Graduates are well-equipped for research careers, in academia and elsewhere.
