This course starts in September and is available for full-time and part-time study. We are a team of staff with expertise in applied linguistics, second/ foreign language teaching methods and approaches, language learners, course design, course management, and teacher training, drawing on a wide range of intellectual sources, and well-placed to offer a Masters programme in this subject area.

Average starting salary and career progression In 2013, 84% of postgraduates in the School of Education who were available for employment had secured work or further study within six months of graduation. The average starting salary was £19,250 with the highest being £21,000. Career destinations for our graduates include counsellors, education advisers, language tutors, primary and secondary school teachers and vocational and industrial trainers and instructors. A number of our graduates are already in employment while undertaking part-time study and study for professional development within their chosen career.
