Course Description

MA Fine Art is a studio-based and taught postgraduate programme, for in-depth engagement with critical, practical and professional development of a contemporary art practice. Introduction The MA Fine Art supports those who wish to develop the critical, practical and professional aspects of their art practice to the highest level, encouraging creative risk-taking and intellectual enquiry. Teaching and learning takes place through reflective practice, combining theoretical discourse, critical enquiry and multidisciplinary art practices set within broader regional, national and international contexts. Alongside a strong emphasis on the richness and breadth of art practices around the world, the MA Fine Art is part of Lincoln’s contemporary art community. You will experience and contribute to peer-learning, generating a stimulating, critically challenging environment both within the School of Art and Design and within the vibrant cultural community of public galleries and spaces, and artist-run projects.
