This course makes the study of law accessible to those who don’t have the traditional entry requirements. At the University of Hull, our flexible LLB courses were ranked among the top ten in the UK for student satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2013. The foundation year provides a supportive environment which allows you to develop the academic requirements of the degree. After this, you will discover the law through arguing, writing and thinking critically about the law. Our Law courses teach you Contract Law, Criminal Law and EU Law as well offering you a variety of optional modules such as Company Law, Dangerousness, Offenders and Public Protection. As part of your year abroad, you will take the Comparative Law module which examines the operation of legal studies in other countries through case studies. Hull University Law School’s Legal Advice Centre won Best Contribution by a Law School in the Law Works & Attorney General Student awards 2012. Features: A distinctive feature of the LLB is that your final year consists entirely of optional modules. A wide range of modules is available, particularly in international and commercial law. The Law School's Legal Advice Centre has been nominated four years running for a LawWorks & Attorney General Pro Bono Student Award and won 'Best Contribution by a Law School' in 2012. On graduation from Hull, you can take advantage of Legal Practice Course guaranteed place schemes run by providers including the University of Law and BPP. You must have a 2:2 LLB or higher and may need to meet other criteria such as student membership of the Law Society.
