The MPhil in Technology Policy is an intensive, nine-month master's programme designed for people with a background in science or engineering who are interested in developing the skills needed to meet the challenges of integrating technology, management and policy. The MPhil in Technology Policy programme gives you the opportunity to enhance your technical knowledge, whilst also providing you with both the tools to manage technological implementation, and an awareness of the wider socio-economic and regulatory contexts. The MPhil in Technology Policy is an intensive nine-month programme, including three academic terms and requiring study in both the Christmas and Easter vacations. The emphasis throughout the year is on group and coursework. The MPhil in Technology Policy programme consists of: * four core courses * at least three "outer core" electives * additional electives from a wider list of other electives (for a total of seven electives) * a written group project report based on a placement at a technology-intensive organisation Assessment Your MPhil in Technology Policy degree corresponds to eleven courses of equal weight, and a Final Group Project Report weighted at the equivalent of two courses. In order to obtain the degree you'll need to attain a mark of: * 60% on the Final Group Project * 60% over the four required core courses * an average of 60% overall A wide range of assessment strategies are used, including coursework (individual or group), class participation, examination, presentations (individual or group) and project reports.
