We offer degree programs at both undergraduate (Bachelor of Science) and graduate (Master of Science) in civil engineering. At the graduate level, students can choose to specialize in Construction Management Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Water Resources Engineering. Classroom instruction, conducted by award-winning professors, is supplemented by hands-on laboratory experience, field trips and the opportunity to participate in student clubs, including the American Society of Civil Engineers, Associated General Contractors, Institute of Transportation Engineers and Water Environmental Federation. To accommodate graduate students who also work, graduate courses are scheduled in the late afternoon and evening.

Civil engineers plan, design and supervise construction of water supply and distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, highways, bridges, buildings, drinking water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, and help solve local and regional pollution problems. They design and test structures that probe the limit of knowledge from the frontiers of space to the ocean depth.
