You will study topics such as: foundation mathematics applied mechanics material science On successful completion of your foundation year you are guaranteed entry to an engineering degree programme at Newcastle. This course is for students who are not sure which of our engineering specialisms they want to study. If you know which of our engineering specialisms you want to study, we encourage you to apply directly for a foundation year in that subject.
