At our London campus, the School offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Law, Criminology, Sociology, Politics, Development, Environmental Governance and International Relations. Our LLB Honours Law programme is also offered at our Mauritius and Dubai campuses. We have a thriving cohort of doctoral students, including a significant number who work on issues connected with human rights law, international criminal law, criminology, migration and social policy. The teaching, research and advocacy strengths of the School are reflected in our Law and Criminology and Sociology departments, alongside The Social Policy Research Centre, European Human Rights Advocacy Centre, and Doctoral Institute. These provide an optimal basis for high-quality applied teaching, research and public engagement. Over 1,700 students, including doctoral students, study within the School. The intellectual environment within the School and our overseas links facilitate contributions to issues of social justice in many parts of the world.

Below are just a few examples of the types of careers that you could pursue after graduating with us: Solicitor: As a solicitor you will provide legal advice and assistance that covers any issue arising in private or business life for a variety of clients, from private individuals to large companies. You will represent clients in the lower courts and, with specialist training, in the higher courts. Qualified solicitors have a variety of career options and can choose to work in a private practice (in a firm of solicitors), within a business or organisation, in local or national government, or in the court services.
