This is a one-year full-time programme which will provide you with a broad background in the Travel and Tourism industry, and the vocational skills required. During this course, you will develop a range of skills and knowledge of the Travel and Tourism industry through structured learning and practical activities. Examples of the units you will study are: * The UK travel and tourism sector * Understanding customer service in travel and tourism * Understanding the nature and effects ofworld travel * Exploring marketing in travel and tourism * Preparing for employment in travel and tourism * Exploring airports and airlines * Exploring UK travel agency operations * Overseas holiday operations * Introduction to cruise operations

Successful completion of this course allows you to progress to a Level 3 Travel and Tourism course, or an equivalent BTEC Level 3 course. Alternatively, it provides a good foundation for working for tour operators and travel agencies, in call centres and customer services, and for airlines and airports.
