This programme enables graduates to work with individuals and organisations to achieve identified outcomes in sports psychology, biomechanics and exercise physiology, and sporting excellence at all levels. This is a blended delivery programme, meaning it can be delivered either on campus or remotely. In this programme you will gain a greater understanding of performance in athletic events through modelling, simulation and measurement. There is a strong focus on sports psychology, investigating psychological factors can affect performance. You will also learn about exercise physiology, the responses and adaptations of the human body to a wide range of physical exercise conditions, and the mechanisms by which exercise can reduce or reverse disease progression. Our experienced tutors will increase your understanding of sports and biomechanics, looking at the internal and external forces acting on the human body and the effects produced by these forces. The programme will also focus on the psychology of sports excellence. You will have significant study time for applied research, research projects and work placements.
