Course Description

The LLM program allows one year of post-JD study tailored to the scholarly and practice interests of participating students. Concentrations are available in a variety of areas in which the law school holds particular strength. Alternatively, U.S. attorneys and international attorneys may design their own customized master's program to complement their interests in the practice of law.

Career outcomes

Graduates have served in high-level government positions in the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Office of Civil Rights, U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement, and the U.S. Senate Committee on Indian Affairs. Seventy graduates were selected to serve as judicial clerks in the 2010–2014 terms. Over the past five years, 11 graduates have been hired by the various military Judge Advocate Corp programs. Two graduates are currently representing Arizona in the U.S. House of Representatives. Two 2013 graduates were selected for the prestigious U.S. Presidential Management Fellows program. Two U.S. Ninth Circuit judges are ASU Law graduates; two are Arizona Supreme Court justices; four are Arizona Court of Appeals judges; two are Arizona District Court judges; two are Utah District Court judges; and one is a Nevada District Court judge. President Obama recently nominated four ASU Law graduates for the U.S. District Court, District of Arizona
