Course Details

New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) (Level 6)

Course Description

Wintec's Diploma programme is a national qualification developed in association with IPENZ to ensure it meets not only industry standards in New Zealand, but also internationally. And because it's a national qualification, if you move it's easy to transfer your studies to another institute. At Wintec it's not just about theory, it's about developing the skills you need to actually do the job. Hands-on laboratory work reinforces theory taught in classrooms. Before you learn how to design machines, you learn how to use them - lathes, shaping machines, milling machines, welders and more. Then, using cutting-edge 3D modelling software including SolidWorks and AutoCad, you produce drawings to industry standards (AS1100).
