About Us

Founded in 1986, INTI International University & Colleges have earned a strong reputation for providing quality higher education throughout Malaysia. The name INTI reflects the college’s emphasis on quality in education. In Sanskrit, INTI translates as “essence” and in Mandarin, it means, “to develop the best in a person.” The college motto—”Quality, the essence of INTI”—reflects the ongoing vision of INTI International University & College’s leaders and staff. More than 12,000 students study in nine institutions located in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Sabah, and Sarawak. Students earn undergraduate and graduate degrees in Business and Law, Computing and Information Technology, Engineering and Technology, Languages and Liberal Arts, and Applied Sciences and Mathematics. Flagship programs include the INTI Foundation programs, Twinning programs, and American Degree Transfer Program. INTI is approved by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education and accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency. INTI programs are focused on sustainable environment-focused initiatives, improving the quality of life for the disadvantaged in the local community, and enhancing social entrepreneurship among Malaysian youth through university projects. INTI is recognized by Malaysia’s Minister of Higher Education for having the highest number of accredited programs and the highest international student enrollment in the country in 2005 (the last year awarded). The INTI Group received the National Creativity and Innovation Award from the Minister of International Trade and Industry in 2004 and was the first institution of higher education in Malaysia to receive the Certificate of Appreciation for Achievement in Trade from the U.S. Department of Commerce.
