Business Studies and Finance BSc (Hons)

Course Description

Finance addresses the ways in which individuals, businesses and organisations raise, allocate and use monetary resources, taking into account the risks associated with their activities. The goals of each type of user are realised through the use of appropriate financial instruments, such as personal loans and savings accounts, government bonds and company shares, and derivative instruments such as futures, options and swaps. Financial markets are becoming increasingly complex and sophisticated, with managers, traders and analysts continually evolving new methods of packaging and selling assets and securities offering new combinations of risk and return. Your degree in Business Studies and Finance will combine a specialised stream of modules in finance with a more general business studies programme which covers a broad range of business and management disciplines. -
