Course Description

Course overview The Early Years Professional Practice degree has been designed around both an Early Years philosophy and the demands of employers in the Early Years sector. Modules focus on the contextual nature of early childhood and its relevance to policy, practice and service provision, set in a work-base enquiry approach to learning. The teaching and learning approach is developmental, enabling students to revisit and consolidate progress throughout the course. Students will further master skills in analytical study and investigation, and will build on their reflective capacity as a practitioner; it is aimed that you will be able to visualise change and instigate it, skills valued highly in the employment sector. Successful students may also choose to progress to Master level studies, such as the MA in Early Childhood Professional Studies or undertake a teaching qualification, such as a Primary Post Graduate Certificate in Education.
