Course Description

Advance your career with the one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate program. Interactive Multimedia plays a vital role in just about any industry in today's market. This pioneering program is highly concentrated and allows the student to develop the professional skill sets needed in today's market. All courses follow a hands-on approach to learning and emphasize individual skills while giving special importance to teamwork. Students are taught the fundamentals of the latest version of the Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection, the industry standard software package. They also learn how to plan, manage, design, develop and prototype various multimedia projects from the ground up to completion. Topics include graphic layout,web design,interface architecture,client-side and server programming, project management, motion graphics, MySQL and Flash development. Some of the languages taught include HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and ActionScript. Students also experience a live client project during the second term which enhances their portfolio. Graduates may find employment in such exciting, dynamic fields as multimedia development, web design, video editing, project management, flash programming, interface architecture, online education and server-side developer.
