This Ontario College Certificate program prepares students for a career in office administration support. Students develop their office skills, learn administrative procedures, and study computer applications using Microsoft Office and other software packages. The program emphasizes the development of strong technical, communications and human relations skills, and includes courses on document production and Internet research. In addition, students gain practical experience in the classroom through simulated office situations. Graduates of this program have the opportunity to enter the second year of the two-year Office Administration Ontario College Diploma program (Executive and/or Legal specialization).
Graduates are equipped with skills for a variety of office positions and may find employment in entry-level support staff or administrative positions.
