Course Description

* This three year programme allows students to progress through a high quality course of Animal Therapy at undergraduate level and gain both an academic and a professional qualification. Study will involve both large and companion animals with a major focus being on horses and dogs. However, there is the opportunity to specialise in either the canine or equine professional massage qualification in year three which is run by Equinenergy or Caninenergy and embedded into the degree programme. Our academic experts at Writtle have a wide range of knowledge which also covers vast professional experience. Our team includes two veterinary surgeons, nutrition and behaviour specialists, biomechanists and a range of experienced therapy staff who are qualified in veterinary physiotherapy, animal manipulation (McTimoney), massage and myofascial release, which is of huge benefit to our students.
