This award is aimed at those people who are assessing or who would like to assess competence in their own area of vocational expertise. It is also aimed those who would like to assess Vocationally Related Achievement. Candidates will be able to assess qualifications with this award up to the level of qualifications they already hold (subject to Awarding Body and Centre rules).

Qualified Assessors may then wish to work towards becoming Quality Assurance practitioners by enrolling on the Level 4 IQA Award or Certificate
